Hobbies/fun facts:

In honor of the National Park’s centennial celebration, I traveled west for a time to explore 15 new National Parks over the course of 80 days! It was not but a month later when I returned to the west coast to live year-round. In my free time I enjoy rock climbing, backpacking, and trail running. I love being active and capturing the beautiful places I travel to through my camera.

What do you love most about guiding/working in adventure travel?

One of my favorite moments working in the outdoors was when I was given the opportunity to guide a group of ten 8th grade students for a week of backpacking in Sequoia & Kings National Park. On this trip, I was able to expose the students to the raw beauty of backpacking, allow them to push themselves on long days of uphill, and transfer what they learned to overcome with perspectives on future challenges. We even got to submit an 11,000 ft peak! This experience goes to show that the lesson learned outdoors are essential for any person and the opportunities I am given to facilitate those connections is why I love my job.
