Reservation Details

Can I book in advance?

Yes! We highly recommend you book in advance to ensure availability.

Do you take same-day reservations?

We can accommodate walk-ups as our availability allows. Once you arrive, please follow the instructions to find and book your rental directly from your phone using our QR codes on site.

What time do I need to check-in for my rental?

You should plan to arrive early for your rental. Allow extra time to find parking, particularly on sunny summer weekends. If you are unable to complete waivers before arrival, plan to arrive early enough to do this before you check in. Once these are complete we will get you out on the water quickly!

What if I want more time on the water?

We ask all guests to return promptly at their designated return time as their boat may be reserved for another guest. We price additional hours low to encourage you to book your reservation for longer periods of fun on the water.

If I arrive late for my rental will my reservation time start when I get on the water?

Your reservation is for a specific time period and will need to conclude at the designated time. If you are late arriving, ask our team if it would be possible to extend your rental before heading on the water.

Are rentals cancelled due to rain?

Occasional light rainstorms are a part of the PNW. Many paddlers enjoy the sound of gentle showers on the water. While we may stop rentals in a heavy downpour, our main concern is wind. If winds top 15-18mph we may suspend rentals until conditions improves. We will also cease activity if lightning is observed.

Can I rent overnight or take my boat to another location?

Our rentals are for use on site during business hours. For overnight rentals check out https://www.rei.com/rentals

General

Do I need any kayak or SUP experience to rent a kayak or standup paddleboard?

You don’t need to be an expert in order to enjoy a day on Lake Washington. Our fleet includes items for the novice paddler to feel stable and safe on their first foray into kayaking or paddleboarding.

Where can I find more info about all of your classes, tours and events offered in the Seattle area?

Here is a link to all classes and events that take place in the Seattle area. Check out some of our intro to SUP and kayak classes for expert instruction before renting on your own.

Can I bring my dog on the water?

By Bellevue City code, Dogs are not permitted in beach areas at Enatai Beach or Meydenbauer Bay parks from June 1 to Sept 15 but are allowed on our craft. If you are bringing your dog, we ask that you supply your own dog PFD and carry your dog while we launch your boat on the water.

Where should I go once I am out on the lake?

When you arrive to pick up your rental, ask a member of our team for a map of suggested routes complete with paddle distances. Ask about their favorite spots, they have a lot of experience on the water!

I am coming with a large group of friends and have reserved a lot of boats, do you have any advice on how to get on the water quickly?

First, before you head out, encourage everyone to complete their waiver online. This can take a long time by phone on the beach and is the most common cause of delays. On busy weekends parking at both our sites can be limited, so encourage everyone to carpool, walk, or bike. In any case, plan to arrive early- we will launch you early if everything is ready to go!

What happens in the event that King County puts out a water quality bulletin?

King County monitors water quality at both locations. Occasionally, environmental conditions contribute to increased levels of bacteria or other organic risks that lead the County to restrict swimming at a location. If swimming is restricted, we will still rent kayaks but will pause stand-up paddleboard rentals. Please consult the King County website for updates on water quality before visiting.

If you have a paddleboard reservation for this date, your reservation will be canceled and your credit card will be refunded for the amount paid.
