Yellowstone Hellroaring Creek Day Hike
$140
This full day hike to Hellroaring Creek in Yellowstone National Park is an adventure chock full of history, geologic oddities, and even a beach! We start at 6,460 ft in elevation and quickly descend nearly a thousand feet, making our way towards Hellroaring Creek. Those with a strong fear of heights may be put off by one of the features of this hike, crossing the impressive steel suspension bridge that spans the mighty Yellowstone River. Built in 1935, this bridge grants us access across a deep rocky gorge and to the rest of our adventure. While hiking along, the trail affords exciting views of Hellroaring Mountain, a unique outcropping of granite. Keep your eyes peeled for elk and bison, there have even been grizzly sightings in this area! Trail’s end brings us to a picturesque sandy beach at the confluence of Hellroaring Creek and the Yellowstone River where your guide will prepare a lunch spread while you relax and soak in the scenery. After lunch and some rest and exploration the tour returns in the same direction you came.
