On this challenging guided hiking tour to Chasm Lake you’ll encounter 2500 ft of elevation gain, keeping your lungs working and your heart rate up. The destination makes the challenge well worth the effort. Chasm Lake lies at the base of Rocky Mountain National Park’s highest point, Longs Peak and has been carved by a glacier over the course of thousands of years. That glacial action has left behind an amphitheater of rock that overlooks the valleys and peaks of Rocky Mountain National Park. The incredible views along this trail, like seeing the famous 2400 ft tall Diamond Cliff, Mount Meeker (13,911 ft), and Lady Washington (13,281 ft), make a hike to Chasm Lake one of the most iconic in Rocky Mountain National Park. Enjoy a delicious trailside lunch prepared by your outdoor guide and learn about the natural history and wildlife that make the Rocky Mountains so unique.

Rocky Mountain National Park is known for incredible alpine and subalpine scenery and is a bucket list destination for outdoor enthusiasts. Since it was designated a National Park by Woodrow Wilson in 1915, Rocky Mountain National Park has wowed visitors and remained a sanctuary for elk, bear, marmots, moose, and a plethora of other creatures. The highest peak in Rocky Mountain National Park is the world-famous Long’s Peak, at 14,259 ft tall it is the only “fourteener” in the park.
