Arizona Road Bike Rentals

Year-round sunshine, mild winters with low precipitation, and wide open spaces make Arizona an incredible road cycling destination. The REI Co-op Adventure Center is your source for Arizona’s best road bike rentals. With nearly 100 road bikes in our fleet, ranging across three performance levels, there are plenty of options to suit your riding needs.

An undiscovered gem in the cycling world, the roads around Phoenix are well-maintained with smooth pavement and diverse riding options. From canal-side paths to incredible mountain climbs, the desert offers route options for every type of road cyclist. Only a couple hours outside of Phoenix you can reach Northern Arizona’s higher elevations where the temperatures stay low all summer long and the scenery changes from cactus to pine forests. Choose rolling road routes through alpine meadows, high elevation lung-busters, or a jaw-dropping ride along the rim of the Grand Canyon.

Standard Performance Road Bikes

The standard performance level road bike is a great option for cyclists new to the sport or to riding on the road, or for the economical rider who wants to put some miles in while on vacation. This is an aluminum road bike with a comfortable but more aerodynamic geometry.

Performance Road Bikes

We have two options for road bikes in the performance level. One has a more relaxed and “endurance focused” geometry, carbon frame, and is comfortable, capable, and fun for everything from 20 mile morning spins to 100 mile pain-fests, and one has a more “race focused” geometry with a carbon frame.
